   Dear Fellow Americans,
   God Bless you in your endeavors to right the course of our country… Elected officials must serve their country as do our military, and volunteers throughout the country. The positions have been become a conduit to furthering power, control, wealth, and agendas in contradiction to the best interests of the American People. We must start with the government, systems, the positions, and the problems created by those, who quite frankly border Treason for the damage it has caused to the American people, and country.
   I will be providing my Campaign Platforms to you, and look to you for support in taking our country back before it is lost forever. As Ronald Reagan said,” This is the last and only place on Earth where freedom exists, it is the last sanctuary, if you lose it here, you have no where to go”.
   My Campaign Platform, which consists of 3 platforms, addresses everything from the Congressman’s individual responsibilities to his/her country, the people, to policy and issue platforms, to finally my solutions to all issues, crisis, and problems, which by the way not only cost the American people not one single dime, but in fact places profits in US Treasury, instead of China, Saudi Arabia, Japan, Russia, etc..
   I look to continuing my support of your organization and patriotic sacrifices. One thing comes to mind because of the announcements by 6 individuals, who announced they are “retiring” from Congress/Senate. This enables them to keep all the money in their campaign coffers for free-tax free. If they ran, they know they will lose, so they simply “retire”, and put another nest egg away along with all the other golden parachute benefits that Americas are forced to pay for.
   My Oath as Congressman contains the following as well as many other changes;
   All campaign funds controlled by any elected official, who decides to retire or resign, automatically goes to the Treasury of the state, which they represent. This money must go directly to that state’s Treasury earmarked only for deficit reduction. It can NOT be placed in the general fund or be used for any other purposes.
   Currently, politicians who retire or resign are allowed to take money tax-free and do as they wish. They do not pay into the Social Security fund, and they get their own retirement pension paid for by the taxpayer, and it is tax free. Everything must be changed. All elected officials must serve with same benefits, taxes, and burdens as Americans taxpayers, and personnel of the military. These positions must change, they must not reward them, and they must be about civil service.
   They must be about “what I am willing to sacrifice, and serve on behalf of my country, not what I can get out of this”. Until we change this, government will remain corrupt, and will remain about themselves, the special interests, and ideologies. These positions shouldn’t be about a “lottery mindset”, but instead about sacrifice, service, and our country’s best interest. If we accomplish this, we will remove the treacherous element that now exists….It will remove the “money aspect” of the political system, and will eliminate the individuals of wealth seeking more power, wealth, and control. It will open the system up to Great Americans…

   US District 19 Congressional Campaign Platform for Elections in November 2010
   Oath and Commitments as a Congressman- Ricki A. DeSantis

   1. Amendment 28
   Congress shall make no law that applies to the citizens of the United States that does not apply equally to the Senators or Representatives, and Congress shall make no law that applies to the Senators or Representatives that does not apply equally to the citizens of the United States.

   2. Oath to act as an elected public servant, and to be referred to as such. This is the United States, by the people, for the people, not a Royal Kingdom. I commit to providing all Military personnel with the respect due them, and will insist they refer to me as a public civil servant and the same for all Americans too, not Congressman. To promote American Values, private sector jobs that are careers, with secure futures, aggressive policy, and programs to eliminate multi-national outsourcing, revitalizing our economy so that the elderly can once again supplement their fixed Social Security income, so that our children have opportunity once again to work part time again so they can save for college, or assist their family in supporting themselves, and makings dreams possible again for students in college to obtain part time jobs, and summer jobs so they may be able to pay for their tuition, and books. Immediately repeal and eliminate the taxing of unemployment benefits at this time to stimulate the economy, and assist Americans in paying their bills. Demand immediate return of all TARP monies distributed so that the money can be invested in a holding fund which will allow for the refinancing of mortgages that would have been provided under common fiduciary and responsible financial practices with term limits extended, and payments reduced to reflect current market value of assets. All write downs are to be the responsibility of financial institutions as losses, which laws will be created to allow the distribution of these losses over years necessary to reduce economic effects to wealth and share price. My solution to the financial crisis will be made available but not here. TARP funds are to be re-distributed also as tax credits for small business, private enterprise, and reconstructing an inundated transportation system utilizing a train system from the 50s. The promotion of private sector companies, and industries to provide the qualified labor, will be promoted, and require full American Citizenship for employment except for instances that can show a long term benefit to the American worker, and country, and will be in a very limited manner.

   3. I pledge to address all vulnerabilities that exist in the United States currently from Jihad, terrorists, and support and promote military tribunals. The removal of this circus trial in New York City is vital to the security, reputation, and safety of all Americans throughout the world.

   4. Reduction of 15% in Salary- Direct savings as earmark to Treasury Deficit, and Reduction of Individual Congressional Budget 15%. You lead by example, and the buck stops here. Tens of millions of Americans are out of work and underemployed currently. Our public servants must make sacrifices now more than ever. Their first obligation is to our country’s well being financially, and those they represent.

   5. Obtain health insurance that assimilates insurance coverage for the majority of American employees in the private sector, and make it mandatory for all staff. Reduction of all Staff Salaries 15%. Implement an Independent audit annually on all budgets, disbursements, and financial transactions in my office, and have results provided on website for all constituents.

   6. Provide a section on my Congressional Website, which shows all voters in District my voting record on each and every legislation bill debated, passed, vetoed, and rejected. It will also show where I stand on all pending legislation. My oath to you will be that I will never portray a position both ways; it will be a straight yes or no, with explanation why. Working a full year like you, 8-12 hours a day in my Congressional office will enable this. If I support an issue, it won’t be for votes from a special interest group, it will be because that community, individual, organization, group or industry has shown me that it is good for America, and all long term.

   7. Commit to an 8-12 hour day of working in office like all other normal Americans have to, and all travel will be at the lowest commercial fare available. My staff will consist of qualified individuals with American Values, valid work qualifications, background checks, and be motivated to save the taxpayer money utilizing true zero-based budgeting. Budgets will be constrained, and not one dollar will be spent needlessly, and over budget. No monies will be approved for expenditures 1-2 months prior to the end of the fiscal year to prevent unnecessary spending practices, which currently are utilized to justify the large budgets, and spending that exist in Washington, D.C.

   8. Commit to working a full year, and submit, and support legislation that eliminates all Congressional breaks, and implements an annual work schedule similar to the norm for American Employees.

   9. Create, submit, and support all legislation that eliminates all additional monies received by Congressional representatives for serving on Committees, and Chairing of Committees of any kind. I will not accept any additional monies for serving on any committee. It’s their job.

   10. Demand all other Congressional Colleagues to lead by example, and do the same. Report monthly to all my constituents all fraud, corruption, and illegalities that are occurring at the Capitol.

   11. Take an Oath to a 1 term limit in the Congress, and only agree to serve additional term if majority of voters request I do so in referendum vote in District.

   12. Oath to openly discuss all issues, and pending legislation to my constituents honestly, without allowance of any special interests or political influence or demands interfering with the process currently. Oath to create, submit, and support legislation that protects freedom, and the free markets. Take an Oath to mandate original American Values be taught, as well as positive American History in all congressional school districts, with Pledge of Allegiance and Prayer recognized and allowed.

   13. Oath to create, submit, and support legislation that reduces taxes on business, and working American Individuals. Commitment to reduce governmental expenditures, fraud, corruption, and increasing monies to infrastructure, and items that truly better the quality of life for taxpayers.

   14. Provide open and honest information via website informing all Americans of Expenditures, and taxes being used to support non-citizens.
