The ‘Tea Party Patriots Live’ radio show is hosted by Tea Party activist/organizers/instigators Jason Hoyt, Phil Russo and Tom Tillison, with the backing of countless volunteers and friends of the show such as Babs, the Snack Czar, the famous Suki and many many more. 

After kicking off the Tea Party movement in Orlando on February 27th, in conjunction with over 50 cities nationwide, we assembled an extraordinary group of volunteers and worked tirelessly to plan the 2009 Orlando Tax Day Tea Party.  During the run-up to the event we approached 660AM WORL with the idea that we need a radio show to promote political activism.  We told them that the big events were important, but its all the stuff in between the events that will make this movement powerful.  They agreed and our first broadcast was on April 18, 2009.

In July, we formed a coalition of central Florida conservative organizations and concerned citizens that believe in the principles of our Founding Fathers.  We are committed to advancing these principles through education and advocacy, and to provide motivation to the average citizen in playing an active role in the direction of this great nation.

We respect the Constitution and understand that God’s guiding hand brought about it’s creation.  We believe in a government that understands we are first and foremost a nation of laws, not men.

The hosts of the show and the countless volunteers around central Florida have been working together since the inception of the Tea Party movement.  Since organizing the very first Orlando Tea Party on February 27th at Lake Eola, in conjunction with 50 cities nationwide with over 30,000 attendees, we have been responsible for countless rallies, protests, counter-protests, marches, forums and even constitution trivia nights throughout the central Florida region.  Here are just a few of the events we’ve organized:

  • April 15th Tea Party @ City Hall
  • Alan Grayson Protest at the Chamber of Commerce
  • Healthcare Counter-Protest @ U.S. Senator Bill Nelson’s Orlando Office
  • Healthcare Petition Drive @ Lake Eola – (organized to counter Organizing for America’s petition drive)
  • Constitution Vigil @ Lake Eola – (organized to counter Organizing for America’s healthcare vigil)
  • President Obama’s Infomercial WFTV Protest
  • Congressman Alan Grayson Townhall in Orlando – (over 1,000 attended, less than 24 hours notice)
  • Congressman Alan Grayson Townhall in Tavares
  • August 22nd Tea Party @ Lake Eola – (organized by Lisa Feroli and Floridians Unite)
  • 9-12 March on DC – (2 million patriots from around the country gathered in Washington)
  • Michelle Bachman House Call Press Conference on the Capitol steps in Washington, D.C. – (40,000 attended, less than 5 days planning)
  • ….and many more.

The ’Tea Party Patriots Live’ radio show promises to continue promoting the Constitution and ensuring the voice of the American people is heard.  This radio show is dedicated to the Tea Party and 9/12 movement as we will make our voices heard as we play a very active role in the upcoming political campaign season as well as for years to come through education programs on the constitution and American history.
