It is frightening that so many posts on this site say that President Obama is merely trying to help the poor by asking pennies of the wealthy. That is not his agenda and if you are unable to see the true goal of his programs then you are blind to the ruination of this great country which is the beacon of hope and democracy in the world. Open your eyes and realize that you cannot take from the productive and give to the unproductive without destroying the basis upon which productivity is encouraged. There is no way to give without taking…and every taking destroys the will to produce more. It is called killing the goose that laid the golden egg. Obama is doing everything in his power to kill that goose because it is apparent that he does not believe that America was built and made great by the power of individual acheivement and capitalism. I truly hope that the American people will come to realize the fallacy of his hopes and repudiate his agenda in the November elections.

Obama are doing their damnedest to bring the AMERICAN people to their knees, after all, isn’t it easier to control the slaves when they’re bound in chains controlled by the master. I give to charity my way not some person in Washington or anywhere taking form me to give to someone. Let mw use dollars and cents: If I make $100.00 and you make $50.00. Some one in government then take $25.00 from me and gives it to you saying now we are all equal. I also dont have to work and give to someone who is illegal or feels it is their right to take from me and give to them. One more thing I give 10 to 15 parcent to my church and charity of MY CHOICE

Dear Ruby Logan: Your view that coerced giving is a Christian value is way, way off mark. My wife and I routinely give back from God’s bounty because we want to do this and believe it is part of a Christian heart. Each individual, one would pray, is converted to desire this goal for themselves. But,I have no right to expect that behavior from you, nor you from me. Jesus made it clear when He said to give Caesar what is his and to give God what is His. Show me one single example of Jesus telling His disciples to go take away something from someone just to turn around and give it to someone else (redistribution of wealth). For it to be pleasing to the Lord, it must come solely from within the heart of the giver. Period.
So, again, respectfully but assertively, you are very wrong in even thinking that there is anything christian about socialism, a system that acts like a cancer on society and individuals, eventually robbing you of your very soul. That, my dear Ruby Long, is decidedly unchristian.

Trying to remain respectful to an individual that harbors such hate for our young President is difficult at best. I believe that President Obama is showing tremendous leadership and courage in the face of this orchestrated hate campaign enabled by FOX. He has done nothing to deserve this and nothing Mr. Voight said can be proven up. It’s all hyperbole and TP group think. What kind of Christian is Mr. Voight who doesn’t understand that we Democrat Christains believe what Jesus taught us to give to the poor — and yes, many of us believe this rich nation of ours, blessed by God, has the resources to help the least amoung us. No wealthy person has been made poor — not even middle-class by helping the poor. This help has nothing to do with the dreaded Socialist or Marixist philosophies. It has to do with simple kindness and True Christain values as lived by Jesus. The vast majority of people in this country are such Christains – TRUE CHRISTIANS, as well as other religions and philosophies that teach us that “we are our bothers’ keeper.” God help Mr. Voight and others like him when Judgement Day truly arrives. Remember what Jesus said will happen to those that didn’t treat the poor well. Let’s start with John 3:17-19, Luke 3:9-10. Old and New Testament – we are required to help the poor and those in need. Period.
