A Tea Party Patriots Live Exclusive!
State Representative Eric Eisnaugle announced on our show yesterday that he will introduce legislation this coming week asking FL Attorney General Bill McCollum to file a lawsuit challenging the constitutionality of ObamaCare, should it pass. It is indeed comforting that some of our state rep’s are starting to realize that the citizens of Florida are looking to them to stand guard over an oppressive, over-reaching federal government! To those State Representatives who’ve not gotten on board yet, I borrow the line from the popular movie ‘O Brother, Where Art Thou?’; “Come on in, boys, the water is fine!”
You should NOTICE that this obvious challenge to Oh-bama didn’t come from the US Congress. Heretofore, we were all schooled to think that a lowly STATE Representative was of no consequence. Most of us still don’t know who theirs are! The truth is, YOUR STATE is your (near) Soverign nation — bound with the others under the US Constitution. The DUTY of the US Congress is limited to defence from abroad & attacks upon that Constitution, and little more. The STATE legislators are the real big dogs, and ever since we stopped reading the US Constitution our very own Representatives have been plotting against that document. Example, “tort reform”. NO federal power has the right to interfere with a state court’s tort decision; but, federal legislators keep pushing nationwide tort reform onto the states. That’s OUR business. Same with interstate commerce, in selling insurance over state lines. This TENTH amendment business cuts both ways! It LIMITS one power, while it behoves legislation on the other. We’ve just been asleep at the switch for SO long, we’ve abdicated our soverign states rights to a self-made overlord.
